Throughout two pregancies, Yvonne Lin never had a man ever offer up his cherished seat on the NYC subway as she traveled to and from work for about two hours each day.

Until Ricky Barksdale came along, that is.

A couple weeks ago, Ricky gave up his seat after noticing Lin was with child — and Lin had the best reply ever as she awarded him an actual Hulk-like trophy that mentioned, “# 1 Decent Dude: First Man to Give Subway Seat to Pregnant Woman throughout Two Pregancies.”

Wowwwww !! See her amazing caption( below ):

I’m about 8ish months preggers( again) and I appear it. I’ve been gradually coming to the conclusion that humankinds suck. I didn’t get a single subway seat offered to me by a man throughout my first maternity. So for the second maternity, I had this made and I’ve been carrying it around everyday – till last Friday. This guy is the winner! #subway #nyc #pregnant #socialexperimentA post shared by Yvonne Lin (@ helloyvonnelin) on Feb 28, 2017 at 10:01 am PST

Now, while the 34 -year-old Army vet-turned-stuntman is undoubtedly a “decent dude” — before we continue, we just wishes to point out how INSANE it is that he’s painted as a hero for just having what should be common modesty … but we digress.

Anyway, speaking to People the coming week — Lin opened up about why she is intended to reward the first guy to stimulate the kind gesture 😛 TAGEND

“I learned somewhat early on that the women were being super cool about it and giving me seats more often than not, but no guys were giving me a seat. That discrepancy was a bit shocking. So my first maternity, I started carrying around this little congratulations card because I wanted to like, make a big tada about the first guy who gave me a seat, but that never happened. So by the time the second one rolled around, I figured I needed to up it. I’m sort of quirky and weird, and I have a child-like sense of humor. So I realized that no one over the age of about 12 expects a trophy. I wanted something that was over-the-top ridiculous and had a man on it.”

When Ricky was the first to show a little tendernes, the 38 -year-old mentioned 😛 TAGEND

“I was super so pleased to see you both, because I was super happy that one, I didn’t “re going to have to” carry this damn trophy around anymore, and two, I was just really happy to give it to someone and that someone gave me a seat.”

As for Barksdale’s response, Lin went on 😛 TAGEND

“He was sort of shocked, embarrassed and pleased, and I was just so happy. I reckon I made off a lot of giddiness. He actually get off at the next stop, and we were talking about how he ever tries to give up his seat, and how he has two kids, and he tries to make sure other people devote seats to pregnant women. He’s like, a legit, awesome dude.”

After the story moved viral, the two strangers connected via Instagram , and ought to have chatting ever since.

Ricky shared on his page 😛 TAGEND
